Iowans. Please VOTE for the REAL CONSERVATIVE on Thursday!
Either Mike Hukabee, Ron Paul, or Duncan Hunter. These are the only true conservative left running for President.
Remember "Willard" Mitt Romney is a FAKE, FRAUD, PHONY. This guy won't even use his real name, which is Willard.
Ever notice how irritated he gets when you try and call him on his phony statements. Like when he claimed to have "walked with Martin Luther King". Then he says it was his dad who walked with Dr. King. Then it was, "I saw someone walk with Dr. King." Yeah Yeah Yeah, Blah Blah, Blah. Enough with your double talk Romney.
While stumping in New Hampshire recently Willard Mitt reportedly extolled the virtues of gay couples raising children by saying that "(t)here are other ways to raise kids that’s fine: single moms, grandparents raising kids, gay couples raising kids. That’s the American way, to have people have their freedom of choice." (source: Boston Herald, June 10, 2007) What? Willard Mitt, in New Hampshire, said that gay couples raising kids is the American way.
So there you have it. Obviously Romney is not the true conservative.
Giuliani is blatantly pro-choice and marched in all the NY gay pride parades. He and Romney are the biggest free-traders around as well. Giuliani thinks outsourcing jobs is great too.
Thompson can't figure out what he is for or against and half-heartingly is in this race.
McCain is OK I guess on the Life issue and traditional marriage issues, but is for open borders and loves free trade and outsourcing jobs as well.
The only 3 true conservative left are Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter, and Mike Hukabee.
A vote for any of these 3 would be an OK vote.

Global Warming Hoax
One of the greatest myths propagated by the fear mongers is that the global warming debate is over and that all the climate scientists are now on board. This couldn't be further from the truth. This week 100 prominent scientists sent an open letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations asking that the UN stop blaming man for what is a natural climate cycle and to “focus on helping our most vulnerable citizens adapt to conditions that lie ahead”.
About 17,000 scientists signed a petition expressing their doubts about anthropogenic (man-made) global warming (btw: this running petition now has over 19,000 signatures).
This per John Herron at www.globalwarminghoax.com/news.php?extend.44
About 17,000 scientists signed a petition expressing their doubts about anthropogenic (man-made) global warming (btw: this running petition now has over 19,000 signatures).
This per John Herron at www.globalwarminghoax.com/news.php?extend.44
- “It is not possible to stop climate change, a natural phenomenon that has affected humanity through the ages. Geological, archaeological, oral and written histories all attest to the dramatic challenges posed to past societies from unanticipated changes in temperature, precipitation, winds and other climatic variables. We therefore need to equip nations to become resilient to the full range of these natural phenomena by promoting economic growth and wealth generation."
- "It is not established that it is possible to significantly alter global climate through cuts in human greenhouse gas emission. "
- "Attempts to cut emissions will slow development, the current UN approach of CO2 reduction is likely to increase human suffering from future climate change rather than to decrease it."
These Scientists go on to say:
- “Recent observations of phenomena such as glacial retreats, sea-level rise and the migration of temperature-sensitive species are not evidence for abnormal climate change, for none of these changes has been shown to lie outside the bounds of known natural variability.”
- “The average rate of warming of 0.1 to 0. 2 degrees Celsius per decade recorded by satellites during the late 20th century falls within known natural rates of warming and cooling over the last 10,000 years”
- “Leading scientists, including some senior IPCC representatives, acknowledge that today's computer models cannot predict climate. Consistent with this, and despite computer projections of temperature rises, there has been no net global warming since 1998. That the current temperature plateau follows a late 20th century period of warming is consistent with the continuation today of natural multi-decadal or millennial climate cycling.”
So we clearly see that there is no consensus on the idea that man-made global warming is destroying the Earth. The debate is NOT over Mr. Gore.
Al Gore's hype is causing him to get rich at the publics expense. Shame on you Al Gore. His movie should've been called, "The Inconvenient Lie."

THE TIME IS NOW FOR SCHOOL CHOICE.
Economist Poll Indicates Widespread Support for Vouchers
A full 53 percent of Americans support the idea of school vouchers, compared to only 32 percent who oppose vouchers and 16 percent who are unsure, according to a new poll released today by The Economist.
It is has been far too long that poorer families in poorer neighborhoods are forced to send their children to a below average, secular, sometimes violent public schools. We need a President who will aggresively use his "bully pulpit" to further school choice.
In case someone is out there who does not know what school choice is, school choice is the idea of either giving parents vouchers or tax credits so that the Parents can choose what school to send their children to. This instead of the long, tired, failed system where you are forced to send your child to the nearest school, no matter how bad it is. This failed system benefits the rich who can afford to live in great neighborhoods and therefore get to send their kids to very nice schools. While at the same time the poor families get to send their kids to bad schools. The poorer families get NO CHOICE while the rich families get to send their kids to the best schools.
It needs to be noted, No Democratic Presidential Candidate is for School Choice, period.
Homeschoolers should also get the voucher or tax credit as well.
I live in Illinois and me and my wife have chosen the homeschooling path.
In Illinois, you enjoy the freedom to shape your school day and your curriculum for your children's specific needs and talents. Illinois government does not require testing, evaluation, or special oversight.
The LESS government intrusion on education the better.
Let's give Parents TRUE CHOICE and let the PARENTS DECIDE where to send their kids to school.
VOTE YES ON SCHOOL CHOICE WHEREVER YOU LIVE.

I say MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, even Secularists.
I just wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Everyone I know, pretty much, celebrates Christmas. You don’t even have to be Christian to celebrate Christmas.
But the important thing is that God was born tomorrow, 2,007 years ago. Stop for a moment and ponder that. God, in the form of the Son, walked the Earth alongside our ancestors. God died for their sins, and ours. God rose from the dead, transcending death and enabling us to do likewise. The entire miracle of Christianity started tomorrow, in a small manger on the outskirts of Bethlehem, 2,007 years ago. A miracle we fight to uphold the sanctity of to this very day, protecting our freedom to worship God in peace even at the cost of our own lives. A miracle celebrated by all, even though Godless heathen sinners weakly try to replace Christmas with Ramadan or Kwanzaa or Festivus or whatever other blasphemous terminology they invented in their basement to justify their petty evils.
Christians! Stand up for Jesus this Christmas! DO NOT succumb to the anti-God Secular-Progressives by saying "happy holidays". To them I say "Merry Christmas". Even Bill O'Reilly, whom I disagree with on many issues, has joined us in our battles with the secular-progressives who want to tear down God, Jesus, and anything Christian. http://youtube.com/watch?v=tqiOZRpiYkY
So Merry Christmas, Americans. God bless America, and let us all praise Jesus.

Americans need a Secure and Dignified Retirement!
With RECORD Corporate Profits, why is it that Corporations are getting rid of their defined-benefit retirement plans and replacing them with 401(K) plans. These 401(K) plans typically provide much less income than a pension, shift all of the risk to the worker and often do not include an employer contribution. Worst of all, half of all workers have no retirement security plan other than Social Security. Why not offer the 401(K) plans IN ADDITION to the MORE SECURE defined-benefit retirement plans? One answer; CORPORATE GREED.
With the politicians helping the Corporations "Stick-it" to the employee.
At retirement, no one should have to face the prospect of working forever to keep their head above water or face a dramatic decline in income that jeopardizes their financial security.
Defined-benefit pensions, guarantees retirees with a steady income for life on top of Social
Security.
Security.
Here is what should be done to Guarantee a Safe and Dignified Retirement.
- Ensure a Guaranteed Income: All retirees should be guaranteed at least 70% of their pre-retirement income for life, depending on the person’s household unit, income history and gender. This minimum amount, which is recommended by retirement experts, would include all sources of retirement income, including Social Security benefits.
- Preserve and Strengthen Existing Private and Public-sector Guaranteed Pension Plans: About 20 percent of workers have employer-provided pension plans known as defined-benefit plans, which close the gap between the amount Social Security provides and what a retiree needs to live. By providing a guaranteed income, these plans are far superior to 401(k) plans; they should be preserved and strengthened. In the private sector, despite five years of record corporate profits too many pension plans are still under funded and many have been eliminated. The federal government needs to hold corporations accountable to the promises they’ve made to their workers. In the public sector, we oppose efforts to convert pension funds to 401(k)-like plans.
- Guarantee all Workers a Secure Retirement: All workers without a guaranteed pension need to have one to close the gap between how much a retiree needs to live and the amount Social Security provides. Retirement plans should be portable and funded by stable employer contributions to ensure workers accumulate the benefits they need without creating uncertainty for employers. Investments should be pooled to reduce the costs of professional management, and workers should have a voice in plan governance to ensure accountability.
It is immoral when Corporations who are making $$ hand over fist just "throw away" their older workers at Retirement.
This is not a Republican or Democrat argument. It should be an American Principle.

How Free Trade and Globalism is Hurting America!
Protectionism, since NAFTA passed in 1993 has been unpopular with many in the media and mostly with politicians. The good news is that it is now being talked about more; albeit more so in the Democratic debates, but also in the Republican debates now too. Even though I don't support John Edwards due to his Liberal social views, I have to tip my hat at his decision to only buy American toys this Christmas. I wasn't even able to do that myself, although I wanted to.
His wife mentioned how hard it actually is to just buy American toys. The reason is because almost ALL the toys are manufactured in China now. It is a sad sad state of affairs.
Here is the problem with Free Trade/Globalism.
The United States has no God-given comparative advantage in innovation and new technology. We were leaders in these fields because we were leaders in manufacturing.
Once socialism collapsed in Asia, U.S. corporations began outsourcing abroad the manufacture of products for U.S. markets. Success with offshore manufacturing has led to offshore outsourcing of research and development, and now innovation itself.
As a recent report from the National Research Council recognizes, "Product development and technical support follow manufacturing." One consequence for America is the loss of many manufacturing capabilities and "the increasing availability abroad of unique technologies not found in the United States."
This development is taking a huge toll on America's human resources in manufacturing skills, engineering and science. The first American victims were blue-collar workers. Millions of them lost their jobs and experienced sharp declines in the quality of their lives. But as research, engineering, design and innovation followed manufacturing abroad, now it is white-collar workers in information technology and university graduates in engineering and physics who are being displaced.
American university enrollments in science and engineering are declining because there are no jobs for graduates. It is pointless to invest money, sweat and toil in an education that has no payoff. Markets do work. Markets are working to shrink the demand for, and supply of, American engineers and scientists.
The next impact is going to be on project manager jobs, practically the sole remaining source of career-related employment for many engineers and technical people. Project management jobs require people experienced with the technology of the job. The loss of technical and engineering jobs empties the pipeline of people who have the experience to assume management positions. Far from being able to innovate, the United States will even lack the human resources to manage technical and scientific projects.
Many uninformed people believe the problem is that America doesn't produce enough scientists and engineers. Manufacturing & Technology News reports that "a group of 15 U.S. business organizations has launched a national campaign aimed at doubling within 10 years the number of bachelor's degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics."
What is the point of this when there is a huge supply of unemployed engineers and technical people who have been displaced by offshore outsourcing and by H-1b and L-1 work visas for foreigners? I know an American software engineer in his 30s whose job was outsourced. After searching fruitlessly for a job for four years, he took a job in Thailand writing software programs for $850 per month.
The anecdotal stories are legion. Yesterday, a friend reported to me that the service technician who repaired his garage door opener said his company was flooded with resumes from college graduates and engineers who cannot find work and are willing to take jobs installing garage doors.
U.S. executives, with an eye to quarterly earnings and their bonuses, continue to spend considerable resources lobbying for increases in work visas that enable them to replace their American engineers, scientists and technical people with lower-cost foreigners. These executives lie through their teeth when they assert the lack of qualified Americans for the jobs. The fact of the matter is, the executives force their American employees to train their foreign replacements and then fire their American workers.
In a word, American capitalism is destroying itself by dismantling the ladders of upward mobility that have made large income inequalities acceptable. By rewarding themselves for destroying American jobs and manufacturing, engineering and scientific capabilities, U.S. executives are sowing a whirlwind. American political stability will not survive the turning of an American university degree into a worthless sheet of paper. Libertarians and free market ideologues who rejoice in freedom should open their eyes to freedom's destruction.

Great Hukabee Ad on What Really Matters!
Mike Hukabee does it again. He runs this ad: http://youtube.com/watch?v=8xn7uSHtkuA

Hukabee is also up 35% compared to Liberal Romney's 27%. Unfortunately, Tancredo who dropped out of the race officially today is backing Liberal Romney. That's right, I will keep calling Romney "Liberal" based on the fact that it was under Romney's Governorship in Massachusetts that Gay Marriage was Forced on the people of Massachusetts. Make no mistake about it, Romney FORCED GAY MARRIAGE on the people of his state.
Once again I refer you to be informed and check out http://massresistance.org/romney/

The reason I am blasting away about Romney is that I don't want conservatives to get DUPED by Romney's good looks and smooth talking points.

Revealed: 'Gay' plans to target 2-year-olds
By Bob Unruh: WorldNetDaily
5th-grade students could be handed 'Coping With Sexual Orientation'
Children as young as two years of age are in the bull's-eye of coming changes in California's school curriculum, which "gay rights" advocates now admit will alter the very foundation of information presented to public school classrooms.
A list of school resources, sponsored by a homosexual-advocacy group called Safe Schools Coalition, suggests that for those who are only two years old, there's "Felicia's Favorite Story," which tells how she was "adopted by her two mothers."
The list also promotes a book called "Are You a Girl or a Boy?" by Karleen Jiminez, a resource for children ages 4-8 when advocating homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenderism and other alternative lifestyle choices.
It's described as "A sweet book about a gender-different kid."
Other resources being promoted in light of California's adoption of SB 777 as state law include books authored by officials for Planned Parenthood and the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network.
One book, called "Tackling Gay Issues in School," is for kindergarten through grade 12, and offers a "rationale (for the inclusion of les/bi/gay/trans issues in school)." It features recommended "extracurricular" activities for classes.
The promotion of such materials has coincided with the recent admission by Equality California, a homosexual advocacy group that worked to have SB 777 passed by lawmakers and signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, that the bill really does edit all school curricula in California.
Now is the time to fight back with your vote.
SAY NO to Liberals like Giuliani, Specter, Schwarzenegger. These are not Conservatives! They are WORSE than Clinton and Obama because they try to "pass themselves off" as "conservative", when they don't care about God or the traditional family.
Vote for the Conservative candidate this primary, (i.e. Hukabee, Paul, Hunter, Tancredo).

The Supreme Court needs 5 votes for Religious freedom.
This is why I am passionate about this election. Right now there is 4 conservative Judges on the Supreme court. Thomas, Scalia, Alito, Roberts.
Kennedy is the swing vote on many issues dear to my heart. Kennedy has voted in the past AGAINST the Free Exercise of Religion.
Lee v. Weisman (1992): Lee dealt with school-sponsored prayer during a public school graduation ceremony.
Justice Kennedy’s majority decision held that this program was unconstitutional because it coerced religious participation by forcing a non-believing student to either attend a religious ceremony or skip his own graduation. The Court reasoned that this was conditioning a government benefit on participation in religion, which it held to be unconstitutional coercion.
Justice Scalia dissented, arguing that the government only violates the Establishment Clause if it coerces religious participation “by force of law and threat of penalty.”
Kennedy also voted FOR special rights for Homosexuals. Lawrence v. Texas (2003)
Kennedy has a so-so record on Pro-Life voting. But the Free Exercise of Religion is Equally if not More important than the Life issue. Also, 2 of the justices listed above have a good record on the Property Rights of people (Scalia, Thomas). The other 2 recent Judges (Alito, Roberts) have not voted yet on any major Property Rights cases.
Justice Ginsberg and Stevens (very liberal and anti-religious freedom) are very old now; Ginsberg-75, Stevens-87 years old. They most likely will be retiring in the next 4 years, so the next President will be nominating 2 very important Judges.
This is why we need to be active and VOTE in the Primary.
Make no mistake about it: Giuliani will NOT nominate Conservative Judges. Look at his track record in New York. He is LIBERAL, LIBERAL, LIBERAL. Don't be duped!
Romney has been in bed with the radical gays for a while now. Check out http://www.massresistance.org/

It may seem small but....
I was at my work and Administration invited all staff of the Hospital to come down and get some snacks they had. The CEO of the Hospital greeted everyone at the door, "Happy Holidays". I kept getting irritated each time I would hear him say this. How dull is "Happy Holidays". What about "Merry Christmas". I am so sick of the political correctness; not wanting to "offend" non-believers while all the time OFFENDING the Believers like myself. After all it IS Christmas season. People are decorating their homes. People are buying gifts. This is happening all because of Christmas. I am going to make a conscious effort to say "Merry Christmas" this season. I encourage all to do the same.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Bring back the Buchanan Brigade
Pat Buchanan would have been a great President. http://www.buchanan.org/blog/
We would not have been stuck in Iraq. He would have revived US Manufacturing by increasing tariffs. Higher tariffs means companies that want to sell to Americans (and that is big-to be able to sell your product to Americans) will find it cheaper to make products here rather than import.
Free trade is the serial killer of American manufacturing and the Trojan Horse of World Government. It is the primrose path to the loss of economic independence and national sovereignty. Free trade is a bright shining lie.
-- Where the Right Went Wrong....Pat Buchanan
It is time we start making products here in the good ole USA again. I'm tired of buying cheap garbage from China. China does not care about quality. They care only about quanity. I have toys from the 1970's made in the USA that still work today. On the other hand, my son's Chinese made toys BREAK in 6 months. I'd rather pay a few bucks more for a product that will last PLUS knowing that I am employing my neighbor at the same time.
Say YES to higher tariffs and NO to Free traders. Of which Giuliani and McCain are the biggest dufus Free traders around. The only real Protectionists running on the Republican ticket are Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo. I am confused on Ron Paul(whether or not he is a free trader or Protectionist).Ahh...boy do I wish Pat were running for president now.

Today's Iowa Republican Debate
Today's Republican debate was good. The moderator was horrible though. I was impressed with Fred Thompson's refusal to raise his hand for some stupid question from the moderator about climate change. He looked like a real leader there. Even though I am not for Romney and as some of you have seen my earlier posts, I don't think he is a true social conservative, he did quite well in this debate. I loved it when Fred Thompson said to Romney, "You're getting to be a good Actor yourself." I died laughing at the TV.
I was most impressed with Duncan Hunter. He seemed to be the most Pro-USA, the most Protectionist, anti-Nafta candidate there. All of which, I agree with.
On the other end is Giuliani, who stated that Nafta has been great, and that exports have "skyrocketed" from 9% to 11%. "Skyrocketed?" 9 to 11 percent?? This shows just how out of touch Rudy Giuliani is with working people who are seeing all their jobs being "exported" out of the USA. Giuliani is the WORST candidate running for office.
I was also very happy to see most of the candidates FOR school choice. School choice would be great for the working poor and lowest class people who are FORCED because they don't have enough money to send their kids to these HORRIBLE, SECULAR, GOD-HATING PUBLIC SCHOOLS. It is time for parents to have the CHOICE to send their kids to any school they want to send them to, be it public, private, charter, or home schooled.
Even though I like Ron Paul and Mike Hukabee, I didn't think they got their point across that well in this debate. I wanted to hear more on Hukabee's position on NAFTA and Free Trade in general. Tomorrow is the Democrat debate in case anyone cares.

Minuteman Endorse Hukabee
www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,316452,00.html
This is big for Hukabee! As Mitt Romney starts negative, desperado ads against Hukabee in Iowa, Hukabee trumps him with the Minuteman endorsement. Hukabee has a common sense approach to illegal immigration without sounding or being mean-spirited.
Iowa voters both democrat and republican should look at voting for Hukabee.

Romney is NOT a conservative!
Just in case there were any conservative pro-life, anti-gay marriage voters out there considering voting for Mitt Romney following his "moving" speech this past week about his Mormon faith; take a look at the REAL Mitt Romney. Check out http://massresistance.org/romney/
This will provide you with the truth about the real Mitt Romney.
He is NOT Pro-Life.
He is for Gay marriage. (With Mitt Romney as Governor, Massachusetts passed Gay marriage)
He is a big corporate guy. He cares nothing about the "working" man/woman.
He is a globalist, NOT a protectionist. He thinks its great that companies can move their manufacturing plants to China for cheaper labor.
So I IMPLORE all Conservatives out there, DO NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY!
Vote for Mike Hukabee or Ron Paul

Star athlete's pay vs. Military troops combat pay. And the winner is........
This just plain gets me mad. It is stories like this that makes me want to become a socialist.
While our military troops risk life and limb (literally) for us in Iraq and Afghanistan and other dangerous parts of the world where Muslims want to kill us, I read about their "Combat Pay".
And how much is combat pay for soldiers risking life and limb daily?
A member assigned to or deployed to a combat zone receives "combat pay" (officially called "imminent danger pay") at the rate of $225.00 per month.
WOW, a whole $225.00 per month!
Sounds like we really "appreciate" Ha! Ha!, our troops huh?
All the while as I next read this story:
Tiger woods has an estimated yearly income of about $87,000,000 dollars, ...
That's right, 87 million dollars.
It seems as though something is really outta whack here right?
Where are our priorities when we pay an athlete to hit a ball 87 million and we pay our combat troops some of Tiger's extra pocket change?
I'm not trying to make Tiger feel bad specifically. This outrage goes for ALL high paid athletes and Movie stars as well.
Here is what we should do if we REALLY value our troops:
Starting right now: Combat pay=250K-300K/yr or 21K-25K/month. Non-Combat enlisted pay 80-125K/yr. And once you retire after serving your 4yrs, you should get paid a minimum 50K/yr.(increase 5%/yr) for LIFE + College tuition paid + 200K lump sum for a new home and free health care for LIFE.
This would end any troop shortage and encourage a lot of new enlistees.
Plus, as stated earlier in my blog, we should increase the taxes on the ultra wealthy like Tiger Woods.

Ron Paul is FOR Home Schoolers
Now I really like Ron Paul. I was looking at his web site, www.ronpaul2008.com and he has the strongest pro-home school agenda around. Here is what he says:
Home Schooling:
My commitment to ensuring home schooling remains a practical alternative for American families is unmatched by any Presidential candidate.
Returning control of education to parents is the centerpiece of my education agenda. As President I will advance tax credits through the Family Education Freedom Act, which reduces taxes to make it easier for parents to home school by allowing them to devote more of their own funds to their children's education.
I am committed to guaranteeing parity for home school diplomas and advancing equal scholarship consideration for students entering college from a home school environment.
We must have permanency in the Department of Defense Home School Tier 1 Pilot Program, providing recruitment status parity for home school graduates. I will use my authority to prevent the Department of Education from regulating home school activities.
I will veto any legislation that creates national standards or national testing for home school parents or students. I also believe that, as long as No Child Left Behind remains law, it must include the protections for home schoolers included in sec. 9506 (enshrining home schoolers’ rights) and 9527 (guaranteeing no national curriculum).
Federal monies must never be used to undermine the rights of homeschooling parents. I will use the bully pulpit of the Presidency to encourage a culture of educational freedom throughout the nation.
Now this makes me feel good, as my wife and I have been home-schooling our 2 kids since kindergarten and we will also home school our 1 year old too.
Ron Paul clearly believes in giving power to parents rather than the liberal, secular Dept. of Education.
This is why I am voting for Ron Paul in the primary, with Mike Hukabee a close 2nd.

Jesus is the reason for the season
Usually I write about politics but from time to time I will write about personal things.
With all the hustle and bustle of Christmas, STOP and take time to realize that the whole Christmas season is (or should be) about JESUS CHRIST (God the Son).
He (Jesus) came from Heaven and was born from a virgin. Jesus came to Earth for the main reason to save mankind from their sins. He also did many great miracles but his main reason for coming down to Earth was to die on a cross and shed His blood for our sins, because we are lost and guilty of our sins and on our way to Hell.
BUT the GOOD NEWS is; Jesus Christ came to Earth to be our Advocate, Our Savior, IF we put our faith and trust in Him.
Romans 10:9 says, "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be SAVED.
That's right, saved from all your sins and going to Heaven when you die, all because of what Jesus did for you.
So remember, that is what Christmas is all about.

I am tired of all these cheaply made Chinese products. The time for high tariffs is NOW
Toys dipped in lead. Products containing the date rape drug. Cheap toys and electronics that break after 6 months. While we Americans get these products, the manufacturing jobs continue to move to China. I remember in the 1970's toys that were made here in the USA, employing thousands of American people. Now 99% of the toys are manufactured in China. Yes they are cheap, but they are also cheaply made too. So what if the toys cost a few bucks less, I'd safely bet that most Americans would pay a few bucks more for a toy IF they knew it was made here in America, employing American workers.
Since NAFTA, passed in 1993 by Clinton and championed by neoconservatives and globalists, the returns are in. Hundreds of thousands of good paying American manufacturing jobs go south to Mexico, and now east to China. Thousands of Illegal immigrants heading across the border to America to take advantage of our social services. The Mexican peso was devalued the next year after NAFTA was passed, keeping millions of Mexicans in poverty. Now China is the factory to the world. Thousands of good paying manufacturing jobs that were here in the USA, now gone, with low paying retail jobs to take their place. I am sick of it. Ross Perot was right on NAFTA. Pat Buchanan was right on NAFTA. Instead we American people got the shaft by globalists and neoconservatives. Too bad Buchanan was not elected in 1992. He would have been a great president.
We need to start manufacturing products here in the good ole' USA starting NOW.
The way to get our manufacturing base going again is to increase tariffs on ALL imports ASAP. This way it will negate the cheap labor from overseas and Mexico. Products will cost more to continue to import, therefore companies will find it more cost effective to manufacture in the USA, providing good paying American jobs once again.
We also need to punish companies that outsource jobs overseas with high fees.
Let us continue to stand for higher tariffs on Imports and punish companies that outsource our labor.

Why Universal Healthcare is needed
I am for a single payer universal healthcare system. I know that this separates me from a lot of conservatives, but remember, I am a conservative populist.
Here is why I am for universal heathcare.
1. Being a person in the healthcare industry (RN), I have seen way too many people unable to afford their medicines. I've seen people who don't go to a doctor because they don't have health insurance, and they end up turning a small problem into a big problem and the next thing you know, they wind up in the ER costing everybody big$$, since they can't pay the bill.
I know of a family of 6 where the husband makes barely enough to pay the bills, and his employer does not provide health insurance. This guy then caught a virus and ended up in the hospital for a week with NO insurance. He could not pay the bill, so his credit suffered bringing his family into a deeper financial hole.
This should not be in the richest nation on earth. Is it morally right that some guy who plays some sport or some actor makes 20million/year and my friend who works just as hard at his job can't even get health insurance. I believe this is morally wrong. It is time the rich pay their fair share and help fund health insurance for those who cannot afford it.
If you think about it, we already have single payer health insurance in the form of Medicaid now and it works GREAT for those who have it. All their meds and hospitalization is paid for except a small copay. We in the healthcare profession often say aloud that the poor have the best healthcare around.
2. Having a single payer universal health insurance would allow many people to quit their employer jobs and allow them to become entrepreneurs, since they now can afford health insurance apart from their jobs. One of the main reasons many people don't go out and start their own business is because they need health insurance for their family and can't afford $1200/month in addition to all their other expenses. If a universal plan picked up most of that tab, then one could start their own business.
3. Also, if the government picked up the tab for health insurance for the middle class, then companies would not have to worry about it, therby competing better with foreign manufacturers, for example in the auto industry. Ford, GM, Chrysler, have to compete with Japanese auto makers. A big expense for these companies is health insurance, which makes them less competitive against the foreign automakers.
4. The US government CAN afford it IF we stop wasting money giving out foreign aid and quit wasting money($500 billion) on a useless Iraq war. The less foreign entanglements we have, the more money we can spend on the american people for the biggest need, healthcare.
5. To pay for it do this: Income made over 300K/yr taxed at 40%, over 500k taxed at 45%, over 750K taxed at 50%, and over 1million income should be taxed at 60%. Why do the filthy rich need all that money anyway.
6. It is the christian thing to do (providing healthcare insurance to middle class people). Healthcare is a RIGHT not just a privilege. One cannot control it if he/she catches a virus and gets say, Multiple sclerosis, or Lupus. Therefore, since you cannot control it, and we all will need healthcare at some point, I believe it is a RIGHT.

Get involved in the primary
Last night we saw another Republican debate. It seems as though Fred Thompson is vying for the VP spot, not the President's spot. Mike Hukabee did well again. Continue to tell other conservatives about this great presidential candidate. Last night at church, me and my dad told this guy there about Mike Hukabee. He answered to us, "Mike who?" Me and my dad laughed but this underscored the problem. Christian people need to GET INFORMED about who is running for president. Otherwise we will be left with a candidate in the general election who we don't really like, i.e. the lesser of two evils. Let's get involved now and throw your support for Hukabee.
Another example, at work yesterday, the nurses there didn't even know that you could vote in the primary. I can't believe all the ignorant people out there.

More Mike Hukabee news
This is great. Romney is critical of Mike Hukabee saying, he is a tax and spender on CNN today. This of course is not true. Romney is just running scared because Hukabee has caught up to him in Iowa. Its true that Hukabee is not a New England "Rich guy" republican like Romney. But this is what is GOOD about Mike Hukabee. Hukabee is sick of corporations screwing the little guy out of their pensions while the CEO leaves the company with a golden parachute. I guess Romney is mad since he is a CEO corporate guy himself and does not give a damn about the little guy.

Here are my Political views:
I am Pro-Life (which a few exceptions, Life of the mother, Rape, Incest)
I am Pro-Traditional Marriage
I am NOT for Universal Healthcare, however many reforms need to happen. All pre-existing conditions should be covered. People who don't get healthcare though their job should get a $5000/per person (up to $10,000 max for family) tax credit. Businesses should be encouraged to provide health insurance for their employees though Business tax credits. People should be able to buy health insurance across state lines. If a person cannot get health insurance then Medicare should cover them.
I am Pro-Gun
I am against all Hate crime laws (these laws try to punish people based on their thoughts when I believe you should only be punished for your actions)
I am for higher taxes on the rich (that income over 300,000 should be taxed higher and over 1 million should be taxed even higher)
I am for Lower taxes on the middle class (especially incomes under 150K) and NO federal taxes on income under 50K.
I am for Higher Tariffs on All imports (especially imports from communist countries like China).
I am for a freeze on all 4yr. college tuition and fees for at least the next 5yrs. After that, college tuition should only be allowed to increase at the current rate of inflation.
I am for heavy penalties on companies that close factories in the USA and move them to foreign countries.
I am for Tax breaks/credits for all companies that manufacture their goods and keep their labor here in the USA.
I am for drilling for new oil in all 50 states, plus coal and natural gas, building new Nuclear power plants in the USA, and any other energy production that will help the USA become independent of middle east oil. I am also for giving huge tax breaks/credits for the companies that do this (all in an effort for us to be energy independent from the middle east) .
I do not believe in "man-made global warming" or "man-made climate change".
I am for School Choice (giving each family $5000/yr per child to go for schooling of that family's personal choice, whether public, private or home schooling).
I am for teaching creationism along side evolution in public schools.
I am for increasing the child tax credit to $5000/yr per child (up from the current $1000/yr) for children 18 and under.
I am for increasing the salary of all military personnel to a minimum of 80K for the first year and a 10K increase each year after that for the 1rst 4yrs of military service. Also, any military individual that is "at war", like our current soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, should be paid 250K/yr while they are "at war". I am also for All Veterans to get a one time housing voucher to be used to buy any home up to 200K.
I am for the current "Don't ask, Don't tell policy".
I am for getting rid of the Patriot Act
I am for getting out of NAFTA (as it has been a miserable failure)
I am for making all drugs like Marijuana, Steroids, Pain killers, legal and over-the-counter at drug stores (as long as you are 21yrs old).
I am for getting rid of truth-in-sentencing and mandatory sentencing laws (let Judges Judge!).
I am for only sending to prison Violent criminals and devising a different set of punishing laws on non-violent offenders (i.e. garnishing wages to be paid directly back to the victim, civil service, making the non-violent offenders use their talents to Help society.)
I am for paying stay-at-home parents (this would really help the family; what I would do is have the government pay stay-at-home-parents between 10K-30K/yr depending on how many kids they have).
I am for total free speech and free religious speech at any public facility.
I am for any church being able to openly endorse any political candidate they want without the IRS threatening them.
I am for getting rid of the cap on taxing social security income (right now only income up to about 97K gets taxed with social security taxes; this cap should be taken away and all income no matter what level should have to pay the ssi tax).
Property taxes should be based on your income not the value of the property and the first 50K in income should be exempt from property taxes and the most anyone should have to pay for property taxes is 1%/yr on income over the first 50K.
Senior citizens, 65 and older, who make less than 100K/yr should be exempt from ALL property taxes.
All gambling should be Legal (online, or land or water based).
I am for building a Wall on Mexico's border to keep out Illegal immigrants ASAP.
I am for cracking down on businesses that hire illegal immigrants (punish with big dollar fines not deportation).
I am for only going to war as a last resort when we have been directly attacked by a foreign nation.
I have no problem trying to track down and kill Osama bin Laden and all terrorists.
These are my views. If these views went into effect, the world would be a better place
These views are very hard to fit into any one political party. These are the views of a conservative populist.

It is time for the little guy to get involved in the political process. Specifically, I am talking about this upcoming presidential primary. The Primary is where you get to vote for the candidate that you really agree with and like, unlike the general presidential election, where you are usually voting for the lesser of two evils.
My guy I like is Mike Hukabee. I also like Ron Paul. I am leaning towards Hukabee though. Here is why I think that if you are a christian or even just a moral person, why you should vote for Hukabee. He is Pro-life. He is against gay marriage (I will talk about this subject later). He is against corporate welfare. Now, I also like Ron Paul because I too am against being in Iraq. I too am against being the world's policeman and getting involved in all these foreign entanglements. I like the libertarian side of the conservative movement. Yes, I believe you can be conservative and libertarian too.
If you are used to voting for a Pro-life candidate (which usually means voting republican), then you HAVE to get out and vote for Hukabee.
BEWARE: Giuliani and Romney are NOT Pro-life.
Remember, under Romney, Massechusetts passed gay marriage. He (Romney) is not a social conservative. Also, Romney loves corporate america and hates unions. He is all for corporate welfare and outsourcing American jobs.
And it is obvious that Giuliani does not care about babies in the womb either. Remember, as mayor of New York, Giuliani marched in the perverted gay pride parade. Giuliani also loves corporations too and loves the Iraq war.
Any of the other Republican candidates are OK, but Hukabee is the best.
My vote is for Hukabee
